that’s great, thanks for the tip!

i just arranged for friends in beirut to get me a signed copy at the last minute. i hope the book’s photography and text portrays the scale of the achievement.

audi have done an excellent job sponsoring maxime (he might not have been able to fund the project without them). however, i can’t help but worry that there’s too much corporate marketing wrapped around maxime’s story today.

from a layman’s perspective, i think it’s a shame that the campaign has gotten a bit too messy. just take a quick look at the brochure and you’ll see 5 mentions of the word “Audi” in the text of the invitation, as well as audi’s corporate slogan adapted to suit the event.

from a corporate perspective, this makes perfect sense. however, this is a personal achievement of an individual hero, not a corporate one. the emphasis should be on maxime. marketing should be discreet and understated, which would relay a stronger message of sponsorship than the sloppy marketing campaign written all over the event.

i hope my comment will be taken constructively.

Look Jimmy, it’s all about BANK AUDI because without BANK AUDI he wouldn’t have had any money and no one would have heard of him without BANK AUDI. BANK AUDI believes that BANK AUDI was an major asset contributing to Maxime’s achievement sponsorised by BANK AUDI.

    Have a BANK AUDI day.

    BANK AUDI.
